Premiere: Jenny Hval – The Battle Is Over

Apocalypse, girl is the next Jenny Hval record and it’s going to be out via Sacred Bones Records on 8 June. ‘The Battle is Over’ is the album’s first sampling, a wonderfully painful track where we can find the Norwegian songstress fighting her own ghosts. Just to quote her a bit: “Feminism’s over, and socialism’s over”. We don’t want to spoil your first impression any further, just go ahead and give it a listen.
