After publishing a range of varying publications, Subbacultcha! will once again be putting out some honest music for of you to enjoy. We’re releasing Spilt Milk’s new 10″ entitled Carnet de Voyage, consisting of the first 8 published poems by American Modernist poet Wallace Stevens put to lo-fi 60s sing-a-long songs. Although Stevens’ poetry may not be the easiest or permeable, listening to Spilt Milk’s drone folk adaptations makes entering his Buddhist-like, abstract view of the world a rewarding experience. Subbacultcha! members are not granted free entry, but do not be feared, for showing your membership pass will get you the milky-white 10″ for free.

Mike Koldin
Keimpe and Michiel have played (together) in a diverse range of Rotterdam-based bands in the fruitful scene surrounding the Samling record label (i.e. Eklin, Bebe Fang, Woud). In Mike Koldin the pair weave together synthesized threads into a dark ambient tapestry of sound. They’re still very much in their improvisational phase and fleshing out new ideas everytime. You’ll never know what to expect, who knows… you might just witness something magical.

Treehouse:
This illustrious project by a Yutaka Hoshino has know a few different forms over the last years, including a quartet dressed in monk-like attire, creating soundscapes with toy-instruments, tape-loops, strange whistles and what have you. Nowadays Hoshino performs solo, using samples, keyboards and guitars which run through a series of effects. Every gig is a unique experience, so you’d better come early.
