Headed by Stephen Bishop, the UK’s newcomer Opal Tapes label flirts with house, techno and some of the most cutting-edge experimental electronic music around. Home of new acclaimed acts such as Huerco S, Wanda Group and 1991, the young label is on everyone’s lips right now, and we’ve been amazed by the quality of the releases they’ve put out so far. This very special Opal Tapes night features Stephen Bishop himself as Basic House; the electro-glitch of London’s Karen Gwyer; lo-fi electronic producer Axel Backman from Sweden; and the Belgo-Italian duo Lumisokea.
