Grooms + Torii

While recording their fourth album Comb The Feelings Through Your Hair, Grooms was going through a strange phase. In fact, the album marks the end of an era while pointing to a new direction: the album was the last to be recorded at Brooklyn’s artists and musician’s space Death By Audio. Not only did their sanctuary close its doors – Grooms disassembled, leaving Travis Johnson as the sole original member of the Brooklyn indie-rock band. Chin-up and unafraid, Johnson dealt with the unfortunate situation by rounding up a new formation with Jay Heiselmann on bass and Steve Levine on drums, and the future did not look so dim anymore. Supporting Grooms will be Leiden born-and-based Torii.
