You might be familiar with murmur for DJ sets during cozy drinks or dinner. Now, they’re employing their space and Kantarion’s distinguished sound system for some weekday concerts. On Thursday February 29th, murmur joins forces with Brussels-Rotterdam based record label Futura Resistenza, presenting ugne&maria + Bergur Anderson. Pre and post concert DJ sets by label co-founder Frederic van der Velde himself.

Their music is a mosaic of samples, carefully triggered field recordings, violin, synthesizers and voice. Their output has been released on Interior Insula, Gems Under The Horizon, Rocket Recordings, and Futura Resistenza. Also, catch the duo’s residency shows at Kiosk Radio.
Bergur Anderson is a visual artist, composer and sound-maker. “An electric troubadour playing with songs, voice, poetry and world-making.” Through various solo and collaborative projects he creates publications, performances and installations that reflect on his interests in polyphonic storytelling, orality and the transitory qualities of sound.
