FIBER X The Rest is Noise 2024

True to their tradition, FIBER x The Rest is Noise kick off the new year with immersive audiovisual performances. This year: Live AV by CEM, Theresa Baumgartner & Mauro Ventura and upsammy & Jonathan Castro. Between performances, Slimfit will take care of the wheels of steel.

CEM, Theresa Baumgartner & Mauro Ventura: GEZEGEN

Berlin-based DJ and producer CEM (Cem Duran) collaborates with light and media artist Theresa Baumgartner and artist Mauro Ventura for his first-ever live performance. His performance GEZEGEN is a search for inner worlds and finds moments of solace in the beauty of the familiar. CEM’s abstract soundscapes contain elements that reference his family’s Sufi background.

upsammy & Jonathan Castro: Germ in a Population of Buildings

Thessa Torsing, better known as upsammy, will perform her latest album Germ in a Population of Buildings. With her antenna for layered rhythms, crisp melodies and big shapes, upsammy has become the eye-catcher of the Amsterdam electronic music scene in just a few years. This show will be heard and seen in Amsterdam for the first time. Peruvian artist Jonathan Castro signs for dreamy, otherworldly visuals brimming with organic shapes and hazy textures.

Slimfit

Slimfit is a multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. In their deejay sets, Slimfit merges different genres into a collage of resonant and energetic sounds.
