Subbacultcha presents: Divide and Dissolve

Unrelenting and dynamic, Divide and Dissolve create overwhelmingly heavy cathartic walls of sound. We are thrilled to present her latest record Insatiable, live at Subbacultcha on 28 March. 

In her album Insatiable, D//D founder and guitarist Takiaya Reed implements hypnotic woodwind melodies to enhance the instrumental textures rooted in doom, sludge metal, blasts of noise, and tension-guilding passages of avant-classical ambience. Fuelled by sociopolitical ideologies, she confronts white supremacy and oppressive power dynamics through a dissonant pounding of percussion, guitars, piano, synths and saxophone, interwoven with passages of orchestral beauty.
