Demdike Stare, a duo of obsessive cratediggers from Manchester, England, produce a wide range of haunting electronic music that spans dark ambient, dub, and mutations of jungle and grime. The project’s name is a reference to the infamous 1612 witch trials centered around Pendle Hill in Lancashire; Elizabeth Southerns, better known as Demdike, was the ringleader of the Pendle Witches
Cutting-edge sonics as the shifting of storms. Percussive and pulsating, Zohar is known for a razor-sharp and highly dynamic club-signature. With years of formative experience controlling dancefloors, the artist behind Zohar has been treading a diverse and eclectic musical path in which rattling low-end and rhythmic tension can be regarded as the common denominators. Known for technical refinement and mixing witchcraft, Zohar now intuitively seeks innovative and surprising connections, both disorienting and exciting listeners in the process.
Lulu is a DJ with an untamed sound. Jumping back and forth from moody vocals to dub-heavy rhythms and dark electronic bass, listening to her sets is a body-stimulating experience. Lulu was resident at the memorable festival Strange Sounds From Beyond. Currently she is a resident at Amsterdam’s Garage Noord and she executes spher.o.visceral on LYL Radio, a show wherein she explores the four elements through sound.
