Automatic Noise Festival 24.01

24 January - Cinetol, Amsterdam
€ 25-40

The Automatic Noise Festival returns to Amsterdam for its sixth edition at Cinetol on January 23rd and 24th, 2026. For two evenings, the festival will celebrate shoegaze and dream pop, marking the culmination of the year-long celebration of 20 years of Automatic Music.

Murmurunner

The Finnish shoegaze legends are back in full force after several years of hibernation. Mumrunner has established itself as one of the most exciting bands to watch in the shoegaze and dream pop scene. With global attention from blogs, radio, and media, releases in Europe, Japan, and the US, and numerous European tours, the stage was perfectly set for their new album, ” Yearning Hearts ,” which will be released on September 17, 2025, via the Dutch label Automatic Music (known for Blankenberge, Resplandor, and Life On Venus).

Attic Ocean

Düsseldorf’s Attic Ocean immerses you in shimmering guitars, melancholic vocals, and a dreamy shoegaze vibe with a modern twist. Their second EP, Retriever (2024), mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive), cemented their status as “Germany’s dreamiest band .” With clips from Tokyo and Paris and a tour with Ride, the band demonstrates that their sound is limitless.

Catch the breeze

Denmark’s Catch The Breeze delivers a dreamy, captivating sound with their third album, Hope Has a Place (2024), elevating their signature Nordic shoegaze and dream pop to a new level. The band effortlessly transitions from atmospheric art rock to mesmerizing alt rock, featuring expressive vocals and subtle instrumentation. Recorded at Feedback Studio (Aarhus) with Magnus Vad and mastered by Morten Bue ( MEW, Kira Skov ), the album exudes space, emotion, and Scandinavian melancholy.

CosmoBrigade

CosmoBrigade is a four-piece post-punk/dark wave/shoegaze band from Prague, formed in 2023. With their debut album, Hollow Obsessions (2025), they established themselves as a notable name in the European dark wave scene. Their captivating sound—dark synths, pounding basslines, and haunting vocals—earned rave reviews and performances at major goth festivals across Europe.
