A very special edition of Space is the Place, the improv concert series that originated at De Ruimte now showcased in Bimhuis. After over 4 years of organizing intimate jazz and improvised music gatherings, this time, Space is the Place invited over Fumaça Preta, a three-piece that brings together elements of tropicalia, psychedelics, fuzz funk, musique concrete, acid house and radiophonic electronics to name a few. Followed by Bacchanalia, a group presenting cumbia rhythms filled with the raw saxophone, guitar and percussion, Sleep Gunner consisting of guitarists Mark Morse and Jeroen Kimman and a solo set by guitarist Jasper Stadhouders. An evening filled with multiple genres, which, when layered on top of each other create electrifying energy.
