Vote 4 Love this Valentine’s Day, as Eastern Margins lands with a bouquet of Alternative Asian Culture. Filipino Budots Pioneer DJ Love (Sherwin Tuna) lands for his Amsterdam debut, alongside Seoul’s Bass Star KOLLIN, and Redline legends LARASATI, EVER and Scar XL.
DJ Love, is a trailblazing Filipino music producer from Davao City. Globally renowned for cultivating the electronic dance sound ‘Budots’ native to the Filipino archipelago’s region, DJ Love co-founded the Camusboyz budots dance group in 2004 which helped catapult the genre’s exponential movement in the early 2000s.
All the way from Seoul, South Korea. Kollin is rapidly gaining international attention, following her massive show at Boiler Room Tokyo, now the platform’s second most trending set, she’s undeniably an artist to watch. Her genre blending sound revolves around heavy bass, combining reggaeton, amapiano, and breakbeat rhythms with an electronic edge and unexpected fusions of UK bass, grime, and EDM bangers, resulting in sets that captivate with their energy and boldness.
Graphic designer turned DJ, LARASATI, is expanding club borders. With an innate dislike for the omnipresent four-to-the-floor beat, they serve us non-western deconstructed club music. Their sound offers a safe haven for Queer club goers – and all open minds — who are not afraid to dance to the speed of LARASATI.
