On the 4th of October, you can find us at Garage Noord till early morning hours at the night curated by Amsterdam’s beloved producer and selector upsammy with Rabih Beani and Mangruv.
Thessa Torsing’s project upsammy frequently flirts with the stylings of techno and electro, but there’s an open-air fluidity to her output that seems as spontaneous as rushing water. As electricity blossoms and leafs glisten, upsammy creates interpretative space, cleverly paradoxical in its concurrent comfort and desolation.
Lebanese-born producer and DJ Rabih Beaini (formerly known as Morphosis) specialises in grainy, imaginative analogue techno. In the past year, however, his Morphine label has telescoped in on key (often overlooked) voices in avant-garde electronic and outernational music. As Morphosis, Beaini has been crafting away in the nether-regions of the techno underworld since the 90s.
