MONO

The Japanese instrumental rock band MONO transcends almost every genre. In their unique sound, you are swept away by shoegaze, guitar noise explosions, and subtle orchestral arrangements.

Since 1999, this combination has created the distinctive post-rock that MONO has made their own.For more than twenty-five years, the band has explored the relationship between light and dark through their music. The recently released album ‘OATH’ delves into similar themes: the time we have in life and how we make the most of it. This twelfth album was recorded and mixed with their longtime friend and frequent producer, the late Steve Albini. Something that adds even more depth to the record.
