Jakob Lkk presents Cormorant 2775

25 October - Orgelpark, Amsterdam
€12,50-20

Improviser and composer Jakob Lkk presents Cormorant 2775, a composition inspired by a cormorant drying its wings on the stationary blade of a submerged windmill in the year 2775. While fishing, it hears underwater sounds it can’t identify: rustling pipes and singing bells. Cormorant 2775 also marks the premiere of a new synthesiser sample set based on the overtones of Amsterdam church bells.

Music for Cormorants is about Jakob’s fascination with cormorants.

A first tribute to this bird can be heard on 25 October 2025 in the Orgelpark, Amsterdam, and for the decor of the event, any photo of a cormorant is welcome through info@jakoblkk.nl
