Tenderhearted Brazilian folk-pop fusion embraces Cinetol on August 23rd, as Amsterdam based collective KB curates an evening of playful jazz improvisation and global transmissions.
BRIGADERA
Swinging between a punk ethos and sincere tenderness, BRIGADERA’s unprecedented sound is increasingly emphatically heard in the international creative music world. The duo, consisting of Beatrice Sberna and Gabriel de Oliveira, describes their music as ‘improv songwriting’: influenced by Italian cantautori, Brazilian ‘folk’ traditions, avant-garde jazz and contemporary pop sensitivity. Their vision and greatest desire: to unfold stories through intimate, stimulating songs and liberating improvisation.
German-Spanish songwriter and guitarist Wolfgang Pérez and Brazilian producer and drummer Pedro Fonte join forces to present Só Ouço: a love letter to Brazilian music culture, in which the lively rhythms and diverse influences of the country come to life.
KB_ is an independent collective that focuses on strengthening new globalized scenes, starring young, migrating and queer artists. Through live events and DIY art that breaks genre boundaries, they bring together voices from various backgrounds in the city’s most innovative artistic dialogues.
