For the festival’s second night, FIBER joins forces with Dusty Cabinets; a club programme focused on all things low-frequencies, serving mutant variations of dub-infused electronics.
Towards the end of the night there will be a vortex of spiraling rave rhythms to seduce you into. Of course, not without the mighty power of the Krackfree Soundsystem – a custom self-build soundsystem ready to serve you deep musical experiences.
Amsterdam selector Elina Tapio opens the evening with a DJ set infused with dark atmospheres and psychedelic rhythms. Elina Tapio performs at both club and listening sessions alike, integrating her signature aesthetic of mysticism and obscurity to each setting.
The Finland-born DJ/radio maker/sonic researcher co-hosts the experimentally oriented shows Scrying the Landscape on Tbilisi’s Mutant Radio with Hannah Pezzack and axia maxim on Amsterdam’s Echobox with Julia Mira. Together with Marco Segato the two are producing music under the moniker eoobe: a project dedicated to otherworldy and intense musical expressions with an avant-garde touch, crafted with both analogue and digital techniques.
Low frequencies, intricate percussion and bass-heavy music; The French, Berlin-based DJ and producer ophélie makes fluid, organic, and often melancholic aspects of music resulting in experimental sonic explorations. Using multiple layers of sounds they create weird (poly)rhythms, drawing inspiration from natural landscapes, such as the forest and ocean.
As an early lover of dub music, UK techno, IDM, and illegal raves, their sound often finds itself at the intersection between dubstep, techno, IDM, with hints of psychedelic music and trance. During FIBER Festival ophélie will play her sonic creations live, experimenting with FX, textures, granular and generative sounds, supported with all different kinds of percussion.
2K88 (live)
From exploring avant garde soundscapes, through alternative rap, to collaboration with alt-pop artists and releasing electronic club material – 2K88 is constantly checking different paths and trying to break boundaries. Under this alias is music producer, DJ, composer and visual artist Przemysław Jankowiak. He began his career by releasing experimental music under underground labels and playing numerous tours with the noise-rock band Kristen, with whom he also worked as a producer.
2K88 will play his latest album SHAME, invoking the era and spirit of PL SOUND; a local genre inspired by British soundsystem music but infused with the social, urban, and sonic themes that developed during Poland’s post-communist transformation. SHAME is a progressive, bass-fueled transmission built from scraps of hip-hop’s past; it’s a cinematic vision of Y2K Polish rap that’s in constant flux, where every detail is just as important as the whole structure.
Public Transportation //GTH is a sonic project by Amsterdam-based Mick van Dijk aka cccore and Vanja Rakic. Triggered by one particular Sunday afternoon mixing session where two entered the void and chose to stay, the project is to serve as a vehicle for expanding on a mutual sonic telepathy, directed towards reaching LSD-like induced states of grinding chaos. They melt down 80’s esoteric drone, noise and industrial with repetitive grind of freetekno, ricocheting between the walls of mayhem.
Vanja Rakić is an Amsterdam-based, Banjaluka-born visual artist, designer, and DJ. From oppressive drones to elements of dubstep, breakcore, and punk electronics; from morphing rhythms to somber lullabies—his sets defy categorization.
cccore, is a DJ and producer that has been a figure in the Amsterdam scene for a while, due to his extensive experience in the nightlife industry and his deep and multifaceted passion for music. cccore’s musical expression revolves around leftfield hypnotic electronics, sonically drawing inspiration from repetitive deep, glitchy, and crunchy grooves that captivate the listener.
