JOON + C’est Karma

Our dear friends of Cinetol are offering Subbacultcha members a handful of tickets to JOON + C’est Karma! An ethereal & dreamy double bill, kicking off 2024.

JOON is the electronic solo project of songwriter and producer Yasmin Kuymizakis. Her debut album Dream Again consists of “12 cuts of uniquely addictive synthesized pop, which twist & turn on the rocky waters of life.” The autobiographical plot of the record finds its genesis in a life-changing car crash, and results in a life-affirming pursuit of artistry. She has supported Future Islands on tour and has shared the stage with Thundercat and Regina Spektor. “For C’est Karma, music is an instrument for change.” Karma’s alternative pop-music reflects on the climate crises and the inequality between the ‘filthy rich’ and the less fortunate.
