Dance music frequently has a hard edge that comes into play when the dance floor gets serious, and people want to get their rave on. It’s unhurried, yet full of energy, borrowing heavily from reggae and dub – especially new track ‘Breakdown’ from their forthcoming album Cosmic Logic. Xeno & Oaklander are cut from similar cloth, their loops and samples focusing on repetition and a child-like sense of wonder.
