Drangsal

In 2012 in the small, south-western German city of Herxheim, a certain Max Gruber gave life to a music project, naming it Drangsal. Sleepwalking through new wave and post-punk, Gruber himself refers to his music as Brachialpop. Drangsal’s first single is out this month, and rumor has it that the act, nothing short of a contemporary culture goth in both sound and appearance, is something you’ll regret if you miss the live experience. Accompanying Drangsal will be Sydney-born, Amsterdam-based Doomshine Boodie duo Spirit Valley.
