Brooklyn duo Blondes’ sound is a spine tingling combination of space case dance music and sonic house, best illustrated by their new eight minute epic, ‘Elise’.
Attend event:
As Blondes, Brooklyn’s Sam Haar and Zach Steinman make analog electronica based on jamming over a looped foundation, resulting in a hypnotic mix of techno and house that’s precise but surprisingly organic sounding. They followed up their 2010 debut EP, Touched, with a string of singles compiled on last year’s full length, self-titled double disc, which featured remixes by hotshots like Andy Stott, Laurel Halo, and Rene Hell. Their new album, Swisher, is more frigid – and more fascinating – than its predecessor. They say that blondes have more fun, and tonight you lucky kids can join in – no peroxide required.
