Closer to an art collective than a band, Modern Witch makes for an interesting live apparition given their taste for visual stunners and artsy performances. So they should fit right in with the ‘expect the unexpected’ program.
UPDATE: Members (and non members) can pick up their tickets to tomorrow’s Modern Witch show at Stedelijk Museum from 14.00 onwards – two hours prior to the 16.00 performance. Just show your membership pass at the kassa and you’ll get a free ticket. Please note that this is the same kassa as for the rest of the museum, so there might be a slight queue. Best thing to do is show up with plenty of time to spare and explore the museum before the concert.
The AAA Series of events continues in September with the over-arching theme of Suspense. Subbacultcha! members have free entrance to a spooky concert featuring Modern Witch in the Auditorium of the Stedelijk Museum.
Closer to an art collective than a band, Modern Witch makes for an interesting live apparition given their taste for visual stunners and artsy performances. So they should fit right in with the ‘expect the unexpected’ program. A decadent act, Modern Witch is best-known for their goth-tinged electronica, kept in place by hypnotic beats and synth vibes. They may be lo-fi, but there’s something primordial about their sound.
