Following performances with the likes of compositional luminaries Steve Reich, Tyondai Braxton, Julia Wolfe, among others, electronic experimental ensemble Bang on a Can All-Stars join forces with legendary Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo for a unique performance at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. To top it all off we’ve curated a special side program of experimental techno, noise, and drone.

Bang on a Can is a legendary NYC classical music organisation that’s worked with some of the most important experimental musicians of the modern era, and their All Stars make chamber music for rock and electronic instruments. For this unique performance at Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, the All-Stars will follow up performances of works by the likes of Battles’ Tyondai Braxton, The Books’ Nick Zammuto, Julia Wolfe, and more with a victory lap featuring legendary Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo. In addition to the main program, we’ve curated a special side program comprised of RVNG Intl.’s newest signing, crunching Australian techno duo Gardland, and homegrown improvisational experimentalists Bismuth and Michiel Klein.
