Interdisciplinary festival FIBER returns for their 11th edition on 28-31 May. This year their festival explores the theme Fragile Forces as a way of thinking about vulnerability not only as something that can break, but also as a source of collective strength.
The first wave of the music programme features 13 live sets, audiovisual performances and DJ sets by internationally revered acts and upcoming talents, featuring the likes of Kara-Lis Coverdale (Live), Abdullah Miniawy Trio (Live), Batu (DJ), Flore (DJ), KUNTARI (Live), Slowfoam (Live), Xenia Reaper (Live), mesocosm (Live A/V), Trois-Quarts Taxi System (Live), eoobe (Live), Formella (DJ), LNR (DJ), Remma (DJ).
Central to the FIBER’s mission of researching the newest developments of art, sound and media culture is the discourse programme consisting of a two-day symposium and several roundtables and workshops. The context programme brings together artists, technologists and scientists for knowledge exchange and critical discussions about new forms for thinking, listening and imagining. The first announced speakers include Geert Lovink, Louis Braddock Clarke, Bint Mbareh, Mariana Berezovska and Mindy Seu.
