Musicians At Ekko

In December we will be hosting our ‘Musicians’ exhibition in EKKO, Utrecht. The exhibition kicks off during the Le Guess Who? festival which takes place from 29 November until 2 December 2012. The exhibition features a selection of portraits and photo reportages that were published in our magazine within the past 1.5 years. Young, up-and-coming international photographers portray bands and musicians such as DIIV, The Soft Moon, Panda Bear and Grimes. The exhibition features work by Christopher Schreck, Miranda Lehman, Ye Rin Mok and Isolde Woudstra, among others.

Along with this exhibition, we made a publication paying tribute to both the photographers and the musicians we work with. Together they’ve created wonderful autonomous images that are a far cry from standard band photography and offer a sensitive, personal and unique view into today’s international alternative music scene. Check out 40 pages of portraits and photo reportages that were published in Subbacultcha! Magazine between May 2011 and May 2012 here. During the Le Guess Who Festival weekend you can pick up this publication at EKKO for free.

The opening of this exhibition will take place on Saturday December 1st 2012 . It will be combined with Le Mini Who? where we host a program at EKKO during the daytime. Entrance is free.
