“Centralizing the way people use intimate stories and fabulation, humor, dance, silence and songs, which emerge from (art), cultural and sonic practices we hope to address the politics of breathing and imagination in cities that don’t care for marginalized people’s imagination, dreams and wellbeing.”

Our friends over at Metro54 and Kanaal 40 have been cooking up a four day event to get breath back into your/our bodies. Their Breathing in Babylon weekender comes to life across the various floors within the newly opened Kanaal40, consisting of two club nights, and three days filled with artworks, performances, conversations, film screenings, whispers, joy and workshops. With contributions by Joy Mariama Smith, Farida Sedoc, Perry Gits, Tarek Lakhrissi, Marly Pierre-Louis, Christian Nyampeta, Authentically Plastic, Dey.Rey, Soungou, Tina Reden, Pelumi Adejumo, Rhoda Tchokokam, Yung Liberachi, Bxxmbastic, and Chinnamasta. Subba members are being given limited access to the club nights that are a part of this program.

For this event there are limited free tickets for Subbacultcha members.
