The second release by Spilt Milk, Funeral Blues is a collection of songs loosely based on the theme of death, with lyrics adapted from old poetry masters from the times when “poets, they studied rules of verse, and those ladies, they rolled their eyes.” Boasting a more folksy, jangly sound than on their debut EP Carnet de Voyage, Funeral Blues throws the spotlight on the talents of vocalist Brenda Bosma.
