No one can translate the anxiety and spirit of our age into subversive and joyful pieces of electro pop better than the Brit Hannah Rodgers, aka Pixx. Her new album The Age of Anxiety positions Pixx close to our beloved artists, Cocteau Twins and Grimes. Pixx isn’t afraid of expressing her emotions and what she gives us is a mix of electro-agitated beats and synths that resemble the overstimulation of our time. Her lyrics talk about something urgent. In ‘Waterslides’ she sings: ‘everyone is in a rush to have some fun but times are tough’. Does this make you anxious? Worry no more ‘cause Pixx will make us stop overthinking about our place in the world and move our bodies instead.
