Le Mini Who?

Just when you thought Le Guess Who? festival couldn’t get any better, Le Mini Who? comes along to prove you wrong! We’ll be setting up shop at Utrecht’s fulcrum for all things graphic design, Kapitaal. Joining us are Brooklyn post-rock duo ERAAS, gritty psych-pop quartet His Clancyness and Fetter, as well as an Art Dept. curated exhibition featuring Louis Reith, Iris Donker and Katinka van Gorkum, Wouter Venema, and Koen Taselaar.

Just when you thought Le Guess Who? festival couldn’t get any better, Le Mini Who? comes along to prove you wrong! For its fifth edition, this mini festival boasts performances by several Dutch and international underground bands and artists in several kickass locations around the thriving Voorstraat. We’ll be setting up shop at Utrecht’s fulcrum for all things graphic design, Kapitaal. Joining us are Brooklyn post-rock duo ERAAS, gritty psych-pop quartet His Clancyness and Fetter, as well as an Art Dept. curated exhibition.

The exhibition will include a large installation piece by one of our favorites, illustrator and part-time lumberjack Louis Reith. You might recognize the man-high wooden piece, as its based on the drawing Reith made for the most recent Subbacultcha tote bag.There will be a dual projection piece by this month’s Funny Issue’s featured artists Iris Donker & Katinka van Gorkum. The inexplicable duo will show their video ‘Zelfredzaamheid’ about failing to art, together with their performance registration ‘In de Gloria’. Also on view are the first efforts of the collaboration between artists Wouter Venema and Koen Taselaar. Their flyers and posters made especially for the occasion were printed at the lovely graphic workspace of our hosts, het Kapitaal.
