What is more crucial to music than sound? We rely on recorded music on an everyday basis, and with the continuous emergence of innovative technologies, making your own music has become more accessible than ever before. Recording technology and engineering are two crucial components when it comes to putting your music out into the world, but where do you get started? Next up in our series of workshops dedicated to the local music scene, we’ve invited knowledgeable locals from the scene to offer us their insights on the various sides of recording music.

Panel:
Jan Schenk (Schenk Studio, Hospital Bombers)
Joeri Woudstra (Torus)
Raven Aartsen (Mozes and the Firstborn, home recording for SMIB)

What equipment is essential? How do you go about setting up a home studio? What things are key to consider when opting between analogue and digital? These are just some of the questions that pop up at first. Don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of room for all your questions in an open discussion.
