Long collaborating on projects through the Blackest Ever Black label, Carla dal Forno arrives this year with her own solo project that’s enshrouded in lovelorn melancholy. With a sonic landscape that’s built on a foundation of indecision and fragility, dal Forno takes us on a journey that oozes with deadpan brutality. Her vocals are often laced with an intimate breathiness that wallows in a deep sense of muted despair, yet retains a much needed human edge that avoids the heaviness of her tracks appearing one-dimensional. With only two tracks having been released under her belt, Carla dal Forno has immediately grabbed our attention, and we’re excited to see her take this sombre atmosphere to a raw, undiluted, live setting.
