Hey member, we’ve teamed up with Progress Bar and we have a special surprise for you this week: the book The Noise of Being will be launched on Saturday, 4 November at Paradiso Noord (Tolhuistuin) and we’ve set aside 5 to wait for a new home.
You could be one of the lucky ones who’ll put hands on this amazing publication. The Noise of Being gathers different ‘noises’ produced in conferences, clubs, museums, and cinemas during the 2017 Sonic Acts Festival. The book aims at starting a discussion about the strange and anxious state of being of our contemporary times. The book can be collected at the Progress Bar s03e01‘s night, the one political party that makes us dance with DJs we love such as LYZZA, Bbymutha, and much more. The evening has a full program with interviews, lectures, dance music, and more. You’ll have the opportunity to listen to presentations by cultural critic Nina Power, the Dutch duo Metahaven together with the book’s designers, The Rodina. Also, Progress Bar’s artist Bbymutha will be interviewed. This is a great opportunity to discuss the zeitgeist of our society and get together for a cultural-dance evening.
Both book launch and Progress Bar s03e01 are free for Subbacultcha members.
