The Rest Is Noise News

The Rest Is Noise has brought us much joy, knowledge and heightened our senses through incredible music over the last four years. On Tuesday, 23 February, The Rest Is Noise makes no exception, bringing in two reputable experimental acts.

We were blow away by Oneohtrix Point Never’s Garden of Delete last year (Warp Records) and it went on our list of favourite albums from 2015 without a second thought. We’ve been restlessly looking forward to the forthcoming night at Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ since we heard the news. We’re still doing that, with extra reason – our proficient friends have added Venice-born musician/producer Gigi Masin to support. Part of the music scene since the early 70s, Gigi Masin entered Dutch consciousness via Amsterdam-based label Music from Memory.

Here’s a little something to delve into Gigi Masin’s experimental ambiance as pre-game for the real thing. Fun fact for the day: Never commercially released, Wind is Masin’s first full length, restored and re-mastered from original tapes, released on his own label The Bear On The Moon Records.
