Huerco S. – Rushing To Paradise

Where his last full-length, 2013’s essential Colonial Patterns, dealt in scorched ‘n’ smoggy techno deconstruction, Huerco S. has taken a turn for the divine if new tune ‘Rushing To Paradise’ is any indication. In it, ambient textures swirl and billow, coalescing over a muted kick and a dreamily funky, elastic bassline – just about all the requisite ingredients needed to sonically complement/represent “the sun burning off the last tatters of morning cloud”, as per the Soundcloud description. We tried, we really did, but we couldn’t have put it better.
