Since her debut for Minneapolis’ De Stijl Records in 2008, Chicago-based songwriter Haley Fohr has leant her devastating baritone to a handful of stirring releases as Circuit Des Yeux. Recently signed to Thrill Jockey, the vocalist unveils her latest album In Plain Speech on 19 May and will be supporting it with a string of European dates alongside Brooklyn metalheads Liturgy in June. First offering “Fantasize the Scene” serves as the perfect contrast to her tourmates’ aural assault, lulling you into a false sense of security at OCCII before Liturgy deliver a deafening blow.
