Lumisokea

Koenraad and I have a broad music taste. We’re always curious about different musics, since I think you can learn things pretty much everywhere. Nevertheless, I feel most of the music we tend to buy (and make ourselves) has common grounds overall; keywords might be physicality of sound, dark/light contrasts, oscillation and resonance between frequencies, bass warmth, articulated rhythms, alternate tuning systems. To me it feels like taking full immersion trips into different music scenes (we’ve been through jazz, classical/contemporary, dub & dubstep, radical improv, techno, tape experimentalists, electronica in a broad sense) in order to bring all this experience back to our own music in a coherent way. The artists we chose for this playlist are people we greatly admire and despite their apparent distance (time, genres, etc.) they’ve been providing great inspiration.
