From tropical to cold, East to West, we stretch across the synth-pop divide to bring you a dizzying night of reptitative loops and samples from the likes of dubby LA duo Peakings Lights and Brooklyn pairing Xeno & Oaklander
Attend event:
Dance music frequently has a hard edge that comes into play when the dance floor gets serious, and people want to get their rave on. Not so with Peaking Lights; the music of Indra Dunnis and Aaron Coyes has a laid back, soft sheen haze and the unfurls around your brain and body in languid waves. It’s unhurried, yet full of energy, borrowing heavily from reggae and dub – especially new track ‘Breakdown’ from their forthcoming album Cosmic Logic. Xeno & Oaklander are cut from similar cloth, their loops and samples focusing on repetition and a child-like sense of wonder.
