At some point, someone likened this Berlin-by-way-of-New York trio to an American version of The xx, but the comparison wouldn’t have occurred to me without prompting. Blame the feeble hyping on the fact that little about them is known. Maybe they’re private or under-promoted; maybe all the juicy gossip on them is in German; maybe their lives are just extremely normal. I’ll hereby start the rumor that the entire band is in fact comprised of leprechauns, because regardless of whether you’re into that sort of thing or not, witnessing their quietly stunning take on indie folk should help you believe magic is real (and maybe even help you get lucky).
